Active Women Arise for Sustainable Development (AWARD) is a civil society organization based in Burundi, committed to empowering girls, women, and communities as active agents of sustainable development. We envision a society where women and girls drive positive change, co-creating resilient, inclusive, and equitable communities. Guided by our mission, vision, and RISE core values, Resilience, Inclusion, Sustainability, and Excellence, AWARD invests in human potential, fostering leadership, innovation, and long-term socio-economic and environmental impact.
All donations given to AWARD are used directly to fund our programmes empowering women, girls, and communities across Burundi. We are committed to full accountability and transparency in the management of every contribution entrusted to us.
